Char Siu Pork Tenderloin

Our lives can become very busy. Are you with me? Sometimes I like to take a step back and just smell the roses, if you will, and make something that is so easy, relaxing, and that will allow me a little more family time and a whole lot less stressful time.  Char Siu is traditionally made with a pork shoulder. However, I don’t have that type of time. So, I used a leaner and healthier cut of pork and the tenderloin is still budget friendly, depending on where you source it (I think Sam’s Club has is for less than $20).

Char Siu is marinated and it’s so easy to make. The marinade is loaded with great sweet and savory flavors that will create a glossy and crisp crust on the tenderloin as it cooks. Now, if you by chance have leftovers, this can be easily chopped up and tossed in a breakfast burrito or potato hash or just slice it up and place it on your favorite bread for sandwiches.
